Take a seat at the piano and watch your music generate a live skyscape on the digital ceiling above.

Set beneath the seven‑metre‑high LED ceiling, the Skyframe piano transforms every performance into a shifting skyscape overhead. As you play, the screen responds to your touch, tempo and volume, bringing in snow, rain, lightning, blossoms and lanterns that appear and disappear above the passage.

Around a thousand people a week have stepped up to play in previous seasons, from children trying their first notes to regulars who return with a favourite piece. You don’t need to be an expert; even a simple tune is enough to trigger a new version of the sky. The experience is free, and open to everyone, turning an everyday shortcut into a place to pause, listen and notice what’s overhead.
